In 1975 there was a serious outbreak of anthrax in England, luckily no human life was lost, it is believed to have been brought in to this country in meat & bone meal from the continent where the rendering process was different from the UK.
In the UK rendering was done in dry batch cookers reaching 270F (133C) and held for 20 mins taking 4 to 6 hours to complete. On the continent it was prossessed in continuous cookers with the whole process taking 2 hours and only reaching 117c that’s 16c less than in the UK. this allowed many diseases and bacteria to survive.
It was proved by MAFF in 1975 that dry batch rendering destroyed ANTHRAX spores.
The government decided that a process that destroyed anthrax would destroy anything
and would be come the legal method of rendering.
Any other country wanting to send meat & bone meal to the UK would have to produce it by the same method, reducing the risk of importing diseases of any kind.
Before anything could be put through parliament there was a general election a new government was elected.
People in the MAFF were asked to advise the new government to carry through this new legislation, they refused saying it was political and nothing to do with animal health.
Some months after the election a rendering company installed a continuous cooker to produce meat & bone meal to be used for protein in animal feed.
MAFF were again asked to advise the government not to allow it to be used for animal feed, they refused.
We were waiting for a disaster to happen, six years later cows were staggering and falling over. On post-mortem the brains are damaged.
The government assembled the finest scientific brains in the country with the latest equipment and access to other scientists all over the world.
After several weeks and a cost of approx £20millon pounds of taxpayer’s money, they gave their findings as to the cause of the brain damage.
It was caused they believe by the continuous type of rendering which was introduced into the UK by the rendering company.
I would like to ask why the standard trading department has not prosecuted the company who produced and supplied this meat & bone meal, for supplying goods of an unmerchantable quality. I have asked many so called senior civil servants since the BSE crisis began this question and all they can do is shrug there shoulders, also why are civil servants reluctant to advise government when asked by people who know the business.
I intended to ask the question in a recent court case I was involved in but the opportunity never arose.
Why are the government and public servants are determined to destroy the English agriculture and livestock industry.
Now it’s a crime to speak the Queens English to another Englishman in England
(E.g. pounds and ounces) as ordered by the unelected corrupt foreigners who now rule us from Brussels.
The British nation has never voted to be in the E.U.
What kind of low life’s do we have in government that would surrender us to this treacherous mob.
